Mexico East, could it be the next stop?

The grouping of Mexico East includes destinations on three coasts: from the Mexican coast of the Gulf of Mexico, the Eastern Peninsula of Yucatán, and Quintana Roo, which faces the Caribbean Sea, known for its beaches, coral reefs, resorts, fine dining, and nightlife, to Oaxaca and Chiapas facing the Pacific.

Oaxaca is a surfers paradise, and as well as being biologically a diverse area, it is home to indigenous Mixtecos and Zapotec people. Chiapas is a mountainous region known for sites of Palenque, a 7th century Maya city, and Yaxchilan, which dates back to 359. The Yucatán Peninsula is also home to many Maya archaeological sites including Tulum, Chichen Itza, Coba, and Uxmal.

In Cancún, at the eastern tip reaching out to Cuba, tourists are likely to be found lazing on the beach that spans the 14 mile (22.5 km ) long narrow island of the Zona Hotelera, eating fresh seafood on Isla Mujeres, or splashing around the Xel-Ha water park in the natural inlet and lagoon.

On the southern coast, the Riviera Maya is known for its all-inclusive resorts at beaches including Playa del Carmen, and Tulum is known for its Maya architecture the as well as yoga retreats.
